Yerena Strawberry Farm

Write a composition about the strawberry farm.

Composition hint:

One of the parts of being a writer is to think about what you want to write about. When you are not sure, try brainstorming. Brainstorming is to think of as many ideas as you can. They don't have to be good ideas. In fact, when you brainstorm, the key is quantity, not quality. You are supposed to write down all ideas, not judging their quality. Then, after, you can go through them and pick out the best one. Why do we write down bad ideas? Because they get our creative juices flowing and may lead to good ideas. Here are some of the ideas that I had when I brainstormed:

The giant strawberry that swallowed the farm
I was a teenage strawberry growing slave
Sweet strawberries
A summer picking strawberries
Making strawberry jam
Strawberry stains
Strawberry romance

Good writing comes from a combination of many factors including imagination, research, reflection, brain-storming, and rewriting. Good compositions are not magic. They come from hard work. If you work hard at your writing, you can get better and better at writing. Practice makes perfect!
