What a great joke!

This student has just heard a great joke. Can you imagine what it was? The assignment here is humor and how it translates, or doesn't translate, into other languages and cultures. This can be approached in a number of ways including starting with your own personal experience or some research. You are the writer. You decide how you want to approach this.

Using humor in writing:

Humor is great to use in writing, but it can be difficult.

Humor is another item to put in your toolbox full of different strategies and skills you can use including imagination, research, reflection, brain-storming, rewriting, transitioning, process writing, and paying attention to detail.
