Ika - Americans don't eat squid

This is ika. While this is squid in English, Americans don't eat squid. However, we do eat ika and we do eat calamari. Calamari is Italian for squid. While this may seem strange, please remember that Americans don't eat cow either. Most Americans, those who are not vegetarians or do not eat meat for some reason, eat beef.

We are not sure what kind of squid this is. The sushi chef was busy and we did not have a chance to find out.
