Tekka Maki - Sushi and gambling

I am not sure if you can tell from this picture how delicious this tekka maki was, but it was wonderful. The tuna used here was a high quality tuna with a reasonable amount of oil leading to a rich taste. Some people may call this a tuna roll, but we prefer tekka maki. If people don't understand, this is an easy one to explain. Tekka maki is a roll with tuna inside. Depending on the quality of the sushi place, the tuna varies greatly as does the taste! You might also want to explain that tekka maki is named after gambling casinos named Tekka-Jo. Sushi rolls were served there because they were easy to eat while gambling.
