Monopoly is an American board game from Parker Brothers. A monopoly refers to when one person or company or entity dominates a market. In 1935, Charles Darrow patented the game of Monopoly. Many people believe that Charles Darrow invented the game, but the game has much history that precedes Darrow. You can read about this at Wikipedia if you are interested.
In Monopoly, players roll the dice, moving around the board, buying property, paying
rents, and conducting other business. To win the game, you must bankrupt the other players. The board contains properties named after Atlantic City or places nearby. If you click the link above, you can see what the board looks like.
